Potty training usually starts between the ages of 18 and 30 months for both girls and boys. The average age for girls to be potty train is 29 months, and for the boys it's 31 months. Keep in mind that these are just averages. Most children will be potty trained by 36 months.

I don't remember exactly when my daughter was totally potty trained but on her 2nd birthday she was wearing big girl panties. Right now my son is 20 months and he is not trying to potty train at all just yet.
